The life of a sheriff’s deputy is filled with stories. Many of them don’t always have a funny or happy ending, but today we’ve got one that we dare you not to laugh at. A Texas dash cam caught a Trinity County deputy checking on a deer that was lying in the road. The deputy was certain the animal was dead, but the closer he got, he realized that wasn’t the case. He let out a scream that sounded like a teenage girl watching a scary movie. He yelled, “It’s awake!” And ran for his life.
The Deputy Ran from the Deer
As soon as he saw the deer move, the deputy screamed and ran. He very quickly started to laugh at himself, realizing that he may have overreacted just a tad. Of course, the entire interaction was caught on his patrol car’s dash cam. Local station 12 News Now posted the video on Instagram so that we could all get a good laugh. The comment section did not disappoint.
“It’s the hollering ‘it’s awake’ that got me hollering,” someone laughed.
Others just know there is no way this deputy will ever be able to live down the deer incident.
“I bet the department has a field day with that video,” a comment reads.
This person had a great idea. “I feel like everyone in that office is gonna be a deer for Halloween lmaoooo,” They wrote.
“That video will follow him into retirement! I’ll guarantee that it will be shown at his retirement party!!!” Another person added.
We have to agree with this person who joked, “Two things one i watched this till i was crying laughing and two you know his department will NEVER let him live that down ever.”
