Swimming is many kids’ favorite summer activity. They love to be in the water and to splash around without a care in the world. Slides and diving boards can make pool time even more fun, but they can also be intimidating, particularly for little kids. A TikToker shared a darling video of a little boy standing on the edge of the diving board ready to jump, but hesitant. As he contemplated the jump, the other swimmers noticed and decided to cheer him on. With his toes at the edge of the diving board, the little boy’s nerves settled as he listened to the crowd roar. That’s when something amazing happened.

The Little Guy Jumped Right Off the Diving Board

He decided to jump from the diving board, and as he hit the water, the entire swimming area erupted with applause. They were so proud of this little boy for overcoming his fear and getting into the water; they couldn’t control their joy. It comes as no surprise that the video went viral on TikTok with nearly 9 million views. People can’t get over how sweet the world can be.

“Omg this is my friend’s husband and their youngest! She’s not on social media but I shared and she’s cracking up and said it was a great moment,” a viewer wrote.

Others noticed a woman totally touched by the diving board moment. “The girl on the blue towel wiping away tears!!!”

“Kids are THE MOST IMPORTANT PEOPLE ON THE PLANET, and I love when we gather to encourage them,” another person pointed out. “It’s sacred.”

Thankfully, this little boy isn’t the only one to have a special experience with good people. Another mom shared a sweet story of her own.

“When I was going THROUGH the trenches of post partum my older daughter and I were at the park to try to have a little one on one time and she had just started walking so i was sitting on a blanket having her walk to me and an entire barbecue family reunion just erupted in cheers for her little steps and to this day it’s one of the best memories i have,” she wrote.

Life is too short to be unkind. Particularly to kids. The more we encourage them, the better our world will be in the future.
