Mick Wadge, a grandfather from the United Kingdom, wanted to build up his strength and hopefully lead a long, happy, and healthy life. According to the BBC, he trained with Ross Starkie for three years when Ross told Mick he should start a TikTok account. What could possibly be more motivational to other bodybuilders than a guy like Mick? He quickly amassed thousands of followers, impressed by what he was doing. But it’s not just us regular folks. Mick also caught the attention of Arnold Schwarzenegger, who reached out to him personally.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Encouraged Mick to Keep Going

Arnold Schwarzenegger was apparently so impressed by Mick’s dedication that he sent him a DM on TikTok offering to introduce him to two coaches in the United States who could help Mick.

“Love what you are doing! Keep pumping!” Arnold wrote.

Mick and Ross could hardly believe what they were reading.

“We checked his blue tick and even got AI to check it was real,”Ross told the BBC. “Out of the six-and-a-half million followers Arnold Schwarzenegger’s got, he follows 14, and one of them is Old Man Mick’s account.”

Fans flock to Mick’s TikTok for motivation and thank him for what he’s doing.

“Hey mick the people that really need your motivation are arguably on their late 40s to 60s so please help us get moving more and gaining g strength in this target group!” Someone wrote.

Mick, who personally received compliments from Arnold Schwarzenegger very humbly responded, “You’ve not failed life if you’re not like me, you be the best version of yourself.”

What a cool guy!
