Tesla Autopilot Swerves To Avoid 75Mph Head-On Collision Saving Lives (Watch)

A man says his Tesla saved his life by swerving in self-driving mode to avoid an oncoming car at 75mph.
Clifford Lee was driving in full self-drive mode (FSD) on a freeway in New Mexico at around 6:30pm on November 9.
It was “pitch black” and the driving conditions were “horrendous”.
Due to the poor visibility, Clifford had failed to see that a truck had gone into his lane to pass a semi, and it was coming straight at him.
He realized too late that the driver was not going to complete the maneuver in time, and was about to cause a high-speed head-on collision.
But the self-driving mode kicked in and swerved his Cybertruck onto the shoulder.
He believes he wouldn’t have been able to react in time if he had been driving without the use of Tesla’s self driving mode.
“FSD saved me; it is beyond anyone’s skill.”

His dashcam captured the moment and Clifford later saw that if the two trucks had collided, it could have been fatal. (See for yourself in the video below…)
“In this case, the driver came out of nowhere,” said the Tesla shareholder from Olympia, Washington.
“When I realized that the driver coming towards me was not going to make it, the FSD moved me onto the shoulder.
“I didn’t even realize how bad it was until I watched the video.
He tweeted the truck’s dash cam video on social media saying the ordeal resulted in “just a broken mirror, busted window, and a bit of a shaken mind.”
FSD saves lives. It happened to me tonight.

Going through New Mexico from the Tesla Shareholders' meeting, the head-on collision (75 mph) with oncoming traffic was averted. Just a broken mirror, busted window, and a bit of a shaken mind. Thank you Elon, thank you Tesla, thank… pic.twitter.com/h4uT0KPoL1
